Tapuh Clothing
Tapuh is a slow-fashion clothing brand dedicated to creating high-quality, sustainable garments in their Bristol-based studio. Founded by Claudia Naen in October 2020, Tapuh emerged from her passion for textiles, personal style, and garment construction. The brand infuses vibrancy and glamour, without sacrificing comfort or functionality, into your everyday wardrobe.
Recognizing the textile industry’s environmental impact Tapuh prioritises using quality, responsibly produced natural fibre fabrics and runs on a made-to-order basis. Alongside this Tapuh actively uses and donates the scrap fabric produced, in a bid to promote creativity within its community, and to reduce waste.
Claudia’s inspiration for Tapuh is deeply rooted in her family heritage. With her love for textiles stemming from her maternal grandmother, who was the first to introduce her to sewing. Whilst the brand’s name, Tapuh, honours her Bornean roots, named after Mentu Tapuh, her paternal grandfather’s village. This dual heritage fuels Claudia’s appreciation for diverse cultures, inspiring Tapuh’s unique designs.
Tapuh Clothing celebrates the art of dressing, responsible clothing and community. Each versatile piece, suitable for any season or occasion, reflects Claudia’s belief in timeless fashion. Tapuh embodies the future of fashion, where quality, sustainability, and cultural appreciation coexist. Through Tapuh, Claudia Naen has created a brand that honours the past while embracing a vibrant, sustainable future.
