Karen Chard Artist

I make hand sculpted tiles, for which I have won awards and been selected to exhibit in several gallery exhibitions, along with some commissions too. I make urns for cremated remains and natural burial shrouds, I also facilitate workshops enabling people to process grief through hand stitching. Being a multi media artist I explore many mediums and plant fibres is a favourite of mine, particularly stinging nettles which I make cordage from and am exploring further by spinning them this year. Everything I do is connected and intertwines, into every aspect of my life.
