I’m a multidisciplinary artist working across painting and craft. I use a kind of process led way of working out to help understand both the material and the techniques which also reveals the body of work. This dialogue – between myself material and technique is intentionally fluid bringing forward imagery around sexuality, masculinity, and our entanglement with the living world.
The work sits between abstraction and figuration — forms and gestures suggest something enigmatic. Forces of nature, masses of energy, and the more-than-human world allude to body parts, religious iconography, and states of being. I hope to find friction and tension between binaries and tradition.
